What Makes a Reptile?
Of all the animals on the earth today, only the reptiles, turtles, lizards, snakes, and alligators have all these characteristics. There were other reptiles in our world many millions of years ago, including dinosaurs and flying creatures. Most of these are now extinct, but a few still live on as “living fossils”, like the Tuatara.
